How to fit a replacement pedal on a Sebo X7 vacuum cleaner.
The Sebo X7 (along with the X8, XP10, XP20 and XP30) have an orange pedal that you operate with your foot to recline the machine.
There can be an issue with these machines that the spring in that pedal gets fatigued and the machine won’t stand up properly.
The solution is to replace the pedal and spring as an assembly. We sell these here: >>Sebo X7 replacement orange pedal<<
We’ve had several emails asking How to fit a replacement orange pedal on a Sebo X7. So here’s what you do:
Keep the machine in the upright position, and turn it on its side.
Observe below the position of the visible bit of the spring (you’ll need to know this later) and the silver Phillips/Pozi screw.
The pedal is secured by the short axle attached to that wheel in the shot above.
Undo that screw, and the axle comes out.
And in so doing, releases the pedal.
Fitting your new pedal is simply a reverse of the above, taking note of where the spring sits as you slide the axle through it and secure the screw once again.
And that’s it, how to fit a replacement pedal on a Sebo X7.
