How to fix the bag full light on a Sebo X1 or an X4: If you have a Sebo X1 or an early X4 (which are 1300w models not later 1100w models) and your bag full light is coming on causing the machine to cut out, we are going to show you how to fix this.

Before adjusting it, we like to show people this video to be sure the machine isn’t blocked:

If you’re absolutely sure that the machine isn’t blocked, and your machine is an X1 or early 1300w X4, here’s what to do.

Take off the top of the body. Undo the four screws in the recessed holes underneath using a Philips screwdriver.

Sebo bag light reset

Recline the neck.

Now the top comes off like so. Make sure you have this type of PCB, if you haven’t, this won’t work.

Refit the body.

Watch your fingers here. Start the machine. And you can see the red bag light is on.

Remove the short hose, attach your crevice tool, cover the open end of the crevice tool with your finger to the extent shown below.

While your finger is circa 70% over the crevice tool hole, and with the machine still running, get a Philips or Pozi screwdriver and turn this screw ever so slightly clockwise.

This should put the light out. And that’s how to fix the bag full light on a Sebo X1 or an X4.

Now block all the crevice tool – blocking the machine completely. The light should come back on. And then go off when you release it.

Ideally, you want that light to come on when the machine is completely blocked with your finger/hand, and go off when released.

It can take a little playing with the screw to get the sweet spot. If you cant get it exactly right, you can disable the blockage light by turning the screw a little further clockwise, this means the light doesn’t come on at all when you block it. Not recommended, but a workaround if you have a particularly sensitive machine.

Refit the top cover and you should be good to go.

If it won’t reset, and you need a new NPPSTXSM-2 PCB, we sell them >>here<<.

If you have a later machine with a different PCB in there that doesn’t have the screw adjuster, you cant do this. The method for this with a later board requires a reset with a tool, and for this, we offer a send-in repair service.
