The Essentials: Bags, Filters, and Service Kits<\/h3>\n
Sebo sell ready-made service boxes<\/strong>, which are ideal for basic maintenance. These usually include:<\/p>\n

- 1 tower (or “standard”) filter<\/li>\n
- 1 exhaust filter<\/li>\n
- 1 sealing strip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

X4\/7 Pet owners: Sebo doesn’t make a service box with a charcoal filter. If your machine has a charcoal filter, you buy the service parts individually. Bags are here<\/a>, here<\/a> or here<\/a>. Service a Sebo Vacuum: Brush Rolls \u2013 The Forgotten Hero<\/h3>\n
One of the most overlooked components during servicing is the brush roll<\/strong><\/a>. Yet, it’s one of the hardest-working parts of the vacuum and plays a key role in how the machine self-adjusts to floor height.<\/p>\n
Even if your current brush roll looks clean or not visibly worn, it may still be affecting performance. If you don\u2019t remember when you last changed it, it\u2019s time. We stock:<\/p>\n

- Genuine Sebo brush rolls<\/li>\n
- High-quality aftermarket versions (not to be confused with the awful grey-ended ones sold on eBay)<\/li>\n
- Optional green brush rolls<\/strong> for delicate flooring or wool loop carpets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
If your brushroll has pale or white bristles, be sure to change it as those are as old as the hills now.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/p>\nHow to Replace Filters and Fit the Sealing Strip<\/h3>\n
Replacing your filters is straightforward:<\/p>\n

- Tower filter:<\/strong> Slides in on a track inside the bag chamber. A metal clip secures it.<\/li>\n
- Exhaust filter:<\/strong>
\n\u2013 X1\/X4: Sits behind the front cover and simply clips in.
\n\u2013 X7\/X8\/XP: Located at the back \u2013 press two clips, slide the filter out, and replace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe sealing strip<\/strong>, found behind the brush roll on the baseplate, is often overlooked but essential. It stops debris from flicking out behind the machine, particularly on hard floors. You\u2019ll need to:<\/p>\n
- \n
- Remove the old strip (pliers or a knife can help if it’s gummed up).<\/li>\n
- Clean the channel thoroughly.<\/li>\n
- Slide in the new strip and trim to length if needed (Sebo supplies a longer one in service boxes for wider models).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
If the baseplate<\/strong> or front chrome strip<\/strong> is worn or damaged, we also sell replacements for those \u2013 ensure you order the correct version for your specific model.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t Forget the Tools<\/h3>\n
To change the front strip or baseplate, you’ll need a T20 Torx screwdriver<\/strong><\/a> (a star-headed driver). If you don\u2019t have one, we stock those too.<\/p>\n
