Please note: This item is a cleaned and tested recycled part (saving you around £25) as a new one is around £70.

This is a complete rear main body – also called the dust bag housing – for all navy blue versions of the following Sebo vacuum models:

Sebo X1.1
Sebo X4
Sebo X5

It comes as pictured – without the front bag door – but with the following fitted:

Rear cable hook
2x rear tool clips
Top hose clip
Handle locking lever
Button and mechanism to lock it to the machine base
Internal wiring
Tower filter retaining clip

There are several reasons you may need to replace this part, accidental damage being the obvious one. For example, if the small upstanding clip that the removeable wand handle secures onto has snapped off.

However, the more usual reason you may need to change this is when the handle won’t stay in your Sebo and pulls out while you are using it. It can also be the case that the power cuts off when the machine is pulled back towards you (but check the flex in that case too).

People often assume it is the small release lever that has somehow worn and seek to replace that – that isn’t the case. That small locking lever doesn’t routinely move so doesn’t wear. What actually happens is sometimes the machine develops hairline cracks inside the socket where the handle goes into (near where the locking lever is). When the machine is used, the leverage from the handle causes the cracks to open up at the fulcrum point and the handle to pull out. Visual inspection will seldom reveal the cracks as they will be invisible when the handle is removed.

In synopsis: If the handle is pulling out of your Sebo Automatic X, and the locking lever appears to no longer secure it, this is the part you need. It is very simple to fit and requires no tools to do so.
