Sebo E3 Premium vacuum hoses – the differences and how to choose the right one
If you have a Sebo E3 Premium vacuum cleaner with an electrically driven ET1 head and you need a new hose and handle, you must choose the correct version. Over time, Sebo changed the handle controls, and the different hose versions are not interchangeable. Buy the wrong one, and the speed control will not work properly, even though it will physically fit the machine. This tends to cause returns and confusion among buyers, so we are telling you everything you need to know before you buy.
Not for the E1: none of this applies to the Sebo E1. They do not have an electrically driven head, and they take this hose, not the one we are discussing.
Before you order a Sebo E3 Premium hose
- These hoses are special-order items. Delivery is usually within a week.
- Special-order items are non-returnable, so please be certain you need a hose before buying.
- Diagnosing a fault yourself? Check continuity with a multimeter, or have a repair shop confirm you need a hose.
About the separate wire and two plugs
On the earlier hose versions, there is a short wiring loom with two plugs near the handle end.
This little loom does not come with a new hose, so you must swap it from the old hose to the new one. The good news is, though, is if this is all that is broken on your Sebo, you can buy it separately and transfer it to your new hose if needed. Which Sebo E3 Premium hose do I need?

Early version – part 8312
The handle has a sliding control with blue markings from min to max.
Boost version – part 8363
The handle has simple “+” and “–” buttons and the word “Boost”. Seen on the first E3 Boost models.
Latest version – part 8550
Used on the most recent E3 Premium (Version 2) hose. The handle has an on/off switch for the power head and separate “+” and “–” buttons. Some are marked “Boost 3 sek”.
