Sebo Vacuum Cleaner Tools: If you own a Sebo vacuum cleaner, you’ve probably noticed that the standard tools you get in the box are fairly basic: a crevice tool, an upholstery tool, and a small dusting brush. Perfectly functional, but not exactly exciting, especially if you’re used to the wider tool range other brands offer.
Sebo makes brilliant (mains-powered) vacuum cleaners, but they don’t shout too loudly about tool options. Their own site lists just a few add-ons, and if you didn’t know better, you might think that’s all that’s available. That’s where we come in.
We’ve put together a full overview of all the extra tools, attachments and accessories you can use with your Sebo, including some lesser-known options, handy third-party tools, and clever ways to get more out of your machine.
The standard Sebo tools
If you’ve got a mid or top-range Sebo upright, you’ll already have these three:
- Upholstery tool
- Small round dusting brush
- Crevice tool
These come as standard, and while they do the job, they don’t give you a huge amount of versatility.
Extension hoses and a larger dusting brush
Sebo offers a couple of helpful extras, one being their extension hose, which adds a decent bit of extra reach. You can also get a slightly larger round dusting brush than the small triangle-style one that’s often supplied as standard. A lot of people prefer the bigger one, and it fits neatly onto the tool clip at the front of many Sebo uprights.
Extension poles for high reach
One of the more useful but overlooked Sebo accessories is the plastic extension pole. These click onto the end of your hose or wand and give you extra height. What’s more, you can join two or three together to clean up to 15 feet high. Handy for vaulted ceilings, stairwells, or even churches — we’ve supplied these to all sorts of places.
Upholstery turbo brush
Some Sebo models, particularly pet versions, come with a powered turbo brush for upholstery. This is great for sofas, mattresses, stairs and more. It’s not cheap as a standalone item though, which is why we also stock a more affordable alternative.
Making Dyson tools fit a Sebo
Here’s where it gets interesting. Sebo doesn’t make a huge variety of tools, but Dyson do. The catch is, they don’t fit Sebo machines — unless you use one of our adaptor kits.
We make a four-piece adaptor set that allows a wide range of tools designed for Dyson to fit Sebo vacuum cleaners. That means you can open up a much bigger choice of upholstery tools, dusting brushes, pet tools and more.
Popular add-on tools we supply
We keep a range of fast-moving, high-quality tools in stock that we supply ready-fitted with the correct adaptor to fit Sebo. Here are some of the most popular:
- Upholstery tool (non-Sebo): A compact, effective alternative to the Sebo version. Works well on stairs and furniture. Less expensive and does the job just as well.
- Dog grooming tool: A proper quality one, not the cheap Chinese knock-offs that clog or fall apart. This lets you groom your dog and hoover up the hair at the same time.
- Long soft dusting brush: A very popular tool for cleaning screens, blinds, shelving and dashboards. Long, soft bristles make it ideal for delicate areas.
- Multi-angle pivot tool: This clever brush can be twisted to almost any angle, making it perfect for the tops of shelves, curtain rails and other awkward spots. We currently have these on offer.
- Radiator brush (and our own version): Sebo’s radiator brush slides onto the crevice tool. We also have our own version, which is cheaper and just as effective. Great for getting behind radiators or reaching the mess of cables behind the telly.
- Dust Daddy-style tool: This one has loads of tiny flexible tubes that let you clean inside cutlery drawers, makeup bags and other fiddly areas without sucking up the contents. Surprisingly handy.
- Drill dust catcher: If you’re drilling into walls, this tool sticks to the wall with vacuum suction and catches the dust while you drill. Keeps plaster off the floor and saves a tidy-up job.
- Wall and ceiling brush: Sebo’s own tool, great for Artex or textured ceilings, and cobwebs in hard-to-reach spots. Combine it with extension poles to reach above stairwells or into corners.
- Large round dusting brush: A slightly bigger version of the standard tool. Fits the tool clip on Sebo uprights and offers a bit more surface area.
- Three-piece tool set with adaptor: This set includes a stiff brush, a soft brush and a wide upholstery tool (which Sebo no longer makes). A cost-effective way to expand your toolkit.
The adaptor kit that unlocks everything
If you see a tool online and think “that’s exactly what I need, shame it won’t fit my Sebo”, our adaptor kit probably solves the problem. It lets you use a huge range of third-party tools, especially older ones, with your Sebo vacuum cleaner.
We’ve done a separate video all about the adaptor kit, and we’d recommend watching it if you want to know what fits what.
Sebo Vacuum Cleaner Tools: One more bonus tool
We’ve also got something a bit different — a long, fluffy radiator duster (like a modern version of a Ken Dodd tickling stick). Perfect for down the back of radiators or between the fins. We sell loads of these as an add-on because they’re cheap, cheerful and effective.
