Is My Old Sebo Hoover Worth Mending?
As a top-quality German vacuum cleaner, your Sebo is designed in such a way that it can be repaired. It’s not unusual to get 15-20 years from a Sebo that is serviced occasionally and maintained properly.
Look at these three Sebos below.
On the left is a red Sebo X1.1 that originally came from Euronics pre-2017. In the centre is a white Sebo X1.1 from about 2004. On the right is a blue Sebo X4 Extra from about 2008. We see Sebos of this age and older every day of the week. We still fix lots of Sebo X1 machines from the 90s. All three of these machines above have been serviced and repaired by us. You won’t get 15-20 years from a Hoover, a Shark or a Vax. A Sebo is designed in such a way it can be repaired. All these machines will be good for another decade or two.
We also fix all commercial Sebo machines (including Ensign, Diversey, Taski and Stealth machines made by Sebo), Sebo Duo carpet agitators and Sebo Dart 3 polishing machines. Many of our customers are nursing homes, hospices, medical and dental facilities, schools, hotels and local authorities.

Another Good Reason To Repair an Older Sebo Vacuum
In 2017 the EU foisted upon us a maximum wattage limit of 900w for vacuum cleaners. Despite the UK leaving the EU, the government shows no sign of rescinding that rule. The BBC did a feature on those rules in our shop you can watch here.
Your Sebo X1, X1.1 or X4 is either 1100w or 1300w. More powerful than any vacuum you can buy today unless you spend £499 for a bespoke X4 from us. So yes, it’s certainly worth mending.
How Long Does a Sebo Repair or Service Take?
For a Sebo Automatic X Series flex (you may call it a power cord, lead or cable) replacement, we can often do that while you wait for rather less than the cost of a new replacement handle and flex assembly. Actually, if that’s all you need, >we have a service where you can send just the handle in to be fixed<.
For general Sebo repairs in Glossop and High Peak, just bring your Sebo to us, if we can’t diagnose it on the spot, we’ll telephone you with a diagnosis and cost within two days. If you decide to go ahead, we will fix it within a few days and send you a text message when it is ready to collect. You pay when you pick it up.

If you’re thinking of a new Sebo, always bring your old one with you anyway, we’ll always give you something for it against a new one. Even if it’s only a packet of bags, it’s better than taking it to the local recycling facility.
We also have shop floor demonstrators of most of the new Sebo models so you can try them out before you buy. As we get our machines directly from Sebo UK and not from distributors or buying groups such as Euronics, buying face-to-face from us usually means you save money as you’re not paying hidden delivery charges or third-party platform fees. It also allows us to discuss deals on bags, extra tools, accessories, quantity discounts, cash discounts, etc.
We absolutely guarantee you a better deal on a new Sebo than your local Euronics or other local stores.
Plus we’ll assemble your new machine free of charge if you like so you don’t need to think about disposing of the packaging. We’ll get rid of the box and polystyrene and we even recycle it all.
